Blinded
This fabled earth with peaks rugged, high
And tall
Canyons deep and scarred twisting and tossing, turning tangled knots
This storied globe with these great, awesome acts of mankind, human kind, life kind.
Our deep chasms and sharp are within all of us … all of us
Our apex species walking blind and dumbfounded.
Throwing fists and spit at ghosts… but they only land on ourselves.
A game of Marco Polo is being played with all of our lives young, old, human, dog, fox, cat, whale and badger.
We are walking blind spitting feathers
Rage filled bodies storm inside us with such rage-seated hatred and fear
“It’s their fault” they say “look no further”
All the while we’re walking blind
